Work and modern life make so many demands of us. We have little time to pause, reflect on our situation or think about ourselves. When we're dashing to put out fires and get through our to-do lists, how can we make decisions for ourselves or lead others? DeeKay's coaching creates a pause so her clients can strategize before dashing to the next fire. Through her stimulating questions and careful observations, her clients hear their inner voice.
DeeKay started her career teaching physics and astronomy at the US Naval Academy. She has published two books and numerous articles, and has given presentations on a wide variety of topics. She recently retired from the federal government as a Senior Executive at the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Now certified in coaching by Georgetown University, DeeKay partners with her clients so they can solve their problems, make their best decisions and chart their paths forward. She listens carefully to what her clients say and what they don't say. She makes insightful observations. Clients become aware of their strengths, and how they can use those strengths to take them to where they want to go. Her clients become better leaders at work and in their personal lives. They become confident in their decision making, and they develop their skills to meet future challenges.

A typical coaching engagement is five sessions.

DeeKay works with her clients to clearly set the client's goal for the entire engagement and for each session.

Between sessions, the client may choose to work on self-reflection exercises, or to test out new skills and new behaviors.
